At Circle Yoga Shala, every decision we make begins with one question: Does this better serve our students and the future of yoga education?
After thoughtful consideration, we've decided to end our school's registration with Yoga Alliance and pursue certification through the American Yoga Council.
This decision reflects our educational philosophy and our commitment to ensuring our external affiliations align with the way we teach. While we respect the important role Yoga Alliance has played in supporting yoga education, we believe this next step better represents the direction of our program.
Our standards have always been defined by our faculty, our curriculum, our mentorship, and the success of our graduates.

What this means for graduates
Graduates of Circle Yoga Shala will continue to be eligible to register individually with Yoga Alliance under its current policies. Alumni who are already registered are not affected by this transition.
Why the American Yoga Council?
We're pursuing certification through the American Yoga Council because we believe its approach better aligns with our educational philosophy and the future of our teacher training program.
This is not about moving away from another organization. It's about choosing the affiliation that best reflects who Circle Yoga Shala is today.
